Running experiment failure #432.
Long runs are for trying out new things and finding out what does and doesn't work.
What didn't work today: having a breakfast of boiled eggs and coffee, followed by a running gel and hour into the run. It seems a boiled egg and running gel combo has the same diarrheatic effect of a McDonald's Fillet O'Fish.
This is not a good thing to discover, especially when you're still 5km from home.
I can tell you I now know what is needed to go into a deep Zen like state.... which nearly cracked in the last 2 metres.
